School Age Care Program Director

The School-Age Care (SAC) Director demonstrates exceptional leadership abilities by creating and maintaining a positive learning environment for families and staff. The SAC Director collaborates with the executive staff in operating the academy in accordance with VDOE/DSS policies, organization procedures and state licensing standards to provide an educational, nurturing, and safe environment for children, parents and staff.

Summer Camp Counselor

The School-Age Care Counselor will work closely with peers, under the direct supervision of the School-Age Care Director, to implement high-quality child care and summer camp programs that meet the social-emotional needs of students, ages 4-12 years. Facilitators provide a FUN, happy, and safe learning environment that promotes academic growth and personal character development through interactive, engaging activities. This position requires an enthusiastic, caring, child-centered professional with excellent communication and people skills that foster positive interactions with students, staff, families, and the community.

Bus Driver

The Armed Services YMCA provides Before & After Care during the school year, transporting students to and from neighboring schools. Drivers will need to be available 7:15 AM - 9:00 AM & 2:15 PM - 4:00 PM Drivers provide transportation for students during Summer Camp (last week in June thru the third week in August). Hours may vary. The driver must have a valid driver's license with no recent moving violations or other discrepancies that may inhibit their ability to safely and legally operate our vehicles. The driver will be required to maintain the cleanliness of the bus as well as refueling. No CDL is required but is preferred.

Operation Hero Facilitator

Our Operation Hero Facilitators build a positive rapport with elementary students (grades 2-5), guiding their learning through team-building activities and engaging, hands-on lessons that focus on character development and resilience. In this after-school program, teachers and parents provide information to assist Operation Hero Facilitators in helping students to improve in targeted areas to meet their personal goals. Facilitators will follow curriculum-based lesson plans and activities focusing on 9 key characteristics that assist children in navigating through a military lifestyle.
