Looking for an opportunity for your business or organization to make an impact in the military community and put your name in front of hundreds of military families? Below you’ll find a list of our annual events with descriptions of each one. Annual Father Daughter Military Ball
Held in the summer every year, our Father Daughter Military Ball is one of our most highly anticipated events. Geared towards strengthening that special father-daughter bond, this dance features dancing, dinner, live entertainment, crafts and tons of photo opportunities. This event has approx 600 attendees each year.
Hearts For Heroes Fishing Trip
Kicking off our annual events for the year, our Hearts for Heroes Fishing Trip is a FREE half day or full day fishing excursion for wounded and ill veterans and their caregivers. Hearts for Heroes revolves around comradery among veterans and providing a day of respite on the Chesapeake Bay. This event has approx 150 participants
Be Somebody's Hero Golf Tournament
Be Somebody’s Golf Tournament is a fundraising event hosted by the U.S Naval Academy Alumni Association Hampton Roads Chapter directed towards raising money for our low-cost. no-cost programs for military families. The golf tournament includes a full 18 holes of golf, a chance to win a new car, and a lunch for participants. This event hosts approx 200 golfers each year.
Family Fall Festival
Celebrating Halloween in style, our Fall Family Resource Fair is a chance for businesses and organizations with a strong military focus to be in front of hundreds of military families. This free event includes arts and crafts, vendors, entertainment and of course some trick or treating for the kids. Each year there are approx 1000 people that take advantage of this event.
5 Star Family Luncheon
An event focused on celebrating military families, our 5 Star Family Luncheon ends the year on a high note for the ASYMCA. Throughout the year families are nominated to receive awards based on community service, patriotism and service of country and the winner of these awards are announced at this annual event. This event hosts approx 400 people.
